This article explores the process and practice of knowledge creation within development and research (D and R) networks. It focuses upon D and R networks in England that are currently engaged in collaboration and innovation. Early evaluative evidence suggests that D and R school networks offer 'spaces' for collaborative working, mutual sharing and active dissemination of knowledge. The evidence also suggests that D and R networks are beginning to positively impact upon instructional practices and learning. 对于中小学择校现象应当重新予以认识。择校是指人们对就读学校的选择,在当前具有合理性和必然性。目前择校主要有以分择校、以权择校和以钱择校等三种形式。合理的择校应当以学生的素质为依据,同时视学校的具体情况确定招收择校生的数量及收费标准。择校既具有积极的意义,也有一定的负面影响。解决择校问题要从政府、社会和学校等多方面着手。 相似文献

Mentoring is a learning and instructional strategy that could be used effectively, especially in the area of continuing professional development. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential and the capacity of teachers who function as resource teachers within the Zimbabwean secondary school system to mentor their peers. Nine case studies of active resource teachers were examined through in-depth interviews. It was found that the resource teachers were doing minimal mentoring activity in their everyday work as resource teachers. The activity is mostly in the form of dispensing information and organising workshops and demonstrating instructional strategies. Their potential as mentors could be enhanced by simply improving their work environment, developing critical personality traits that embody humility and ‘a culture to serve others’, and raising the level of professionalism among themselves, their peers, and their school managers through education. 相似文献

This article aims to investigate how students in receiving schools are affected by school closures. The effects are analyzed in a quasi-experimental study of all Swedish middle schools that received displaced students from 2000 to 2016, utilizing family fixed effects. The results show that the inflow of displaced students had a negative effect on student outcomes in the receiving schools in terms of average grades and test scores and that this effect increased over time. However, student achievement among nondisplaced students in the receiving schools was not affected by the inflow of displaced students, even when the displaced students came from relatively low-performing schools. 相似文献
