社会关系强度对大学生微信知识共享行为的影响分析

[目的/意义] 揭示微信平台中大学生社会关系强度研究的现状,探究社会关系强度对不同知识共享行为的影响,推动微信平台的服务定位和质量提升。[方法/过程] 选取腾讯微信平台,采用互动频度、持续时间、情感强度、互惠程度、亲密性/亲近度5个因素,测量大学生之间的社会关系强度,将其自动聚类为强关系与弱关系两类,进一步探讨其对浏览、发帖、回帖等知识共享行为的影响。同时分析微信平台中大学生不同关系类型下知识共享行为的不同特征。[结果/结论] 实证调研结果表明:社会关系强度与浏览行为不相关,与发帖行为、回帖行为均显著正相关,强关系具有较多的发帖与回帖行为;大学生微信知识共享行为中存在独特的社会关系差序格局。     

图书馆学研究中发现问题的途径发微

发现问题是图书馆学研究的逻辑起点,理论起于问题,发现问题具有特别重要的意义。目前,图书情报学界还未看到专门论述如何发现问题的研究成果。本文提出了从理论、实践、图书馆学教学三个途径中发现问题。结果表明,问题处处存在,只有提高发现问题的能力,就可能发现问题。这三条基本途径既相互区别,又相互作用。实践是源泉,理论研究是提高发现问题能力和思维的保障,教学是手段。发现问题是十分困难的,有时需要多种途径同时作用才能发现问题。

Broad access to information plays a crucial role for empowerment, skill building, and more active participation of different groups of society, thus making an important contribution to social development. While information technology offers almost unlimited ways to enhance information access and management and to improve organizational structures, communication and workflows, it is the interaction between people, organization, and technology that makes economic and social development possible.In this paper the author describes some of the efforts with which she has been associated directly or vicariously. In these initiatives to enhance economic and social development, ITs enabling capacity has been harnessed imaginatively.

? differentiate between professional expectations of public relations practitioners and the images depicted;

? ascertain which public relations practitioners are portrayed to have the most and least power;

每年如约而至的叶问系列影片俨然撑起了华语功夫电影的半壁江山。尽管叶问系列影片屡获殊荣,实际上它却承载了电影界给予的过高评价与期望。叶问系列影片自身的美学价值与其在电影界所得到的认可之间存在着严重的不平衡。该系列影片在其所表现出的矫饰的人物情感、二元对立的人物关系、英雄片类型模式上的欠缺也折射出当下华语武侠功夫片所遭遇的叙事空间及寓意输出的狭窄现状。

Female farmers and the social construction of access to agricultural information

This article examines the ways in which the transfer of information about farming practice is gendered, and how the gendering of access to agricultural information affects the social realities of farming women. The research focuses on a sample of Ontario female farmers who were interviewed extensively about their farming practices, including the ways in which they sought and found information to help them further their farming knowledge. It was found that female farmers utilized both formal and informal channels of information, but that these channels were not readily nor easily accessible to female farmers. Attempts to extract needed information resulted in the manifestation of issues regarding social and professional legitimacy. Female farmers must, therefore, devise alternate strategies and networks for information gathering. The study demonstrates that information acquisition in farming is a socially mediated process which reflects the socially constructed gender relations of agriculture itself.     

Socialization and pre-career development of public relations professionals via the undergraduate curriculum

We interviewed racially/ethnically diverse, early career public relations practitioners. By asking participants to reflect on their collegiate social and educational development, we unearth contributing factors to these individuals’ success both in college and in their professions to date. Respondents desired much more in-school training and technical skill acquisition than they were provided. Respondents also alluded to ways that the female/male composition of the undergraduate classroom affected their educational environment and student learning experiences. Findings are used to address the extent to which the educational/prepare-students-for-industry dialectic should be addressed by communication faculty and administrators.

Factors influencing e-diplomacy implementation: Exploring causal relationships using interpretive structural modelling

Electronic diplomacy (E-diplomacy) is the use of technology by nations to define and establish diplomatic goals and objectives and to efficiently carry out the functions of diplomats. These functions include representation and promotion of the home nation, establishing both bilateral and multilateral relations, consular services and social engagement. It encapsulates the adoption of multiple ICT tools over the Internet to support a nation's interests in other countries while ensuring that foreign relations are improved between the countries. Given its embryonic nature, little scholarly research has been undertaken to study its influence on diplomatic functions and the various factors that influence its implementation. This paper applies the Interpretative Structural Modelling (ISM) methodological approach to identify factors that impact the implementation of e-diplomacy and to determine their causal relationship and rankings. This study applies the ISM methodology to the subject of e-diplomacy. The ISM-based model provides a framework for practitioners to aid decision-making and manage the implementation of e-diplomacy.     

Everything We Do Is A Celebration of You! : Pleasant Company Constructs American Girlhood

The American Girl (AG) collection is an enormously successful line of girls merchandise that includes dolls, books, and accessories. Through mail-order catalogs, AG has become a part of the cultural universe of young girls in the United States. We examined the dolls, books, accouterments, and catalogs as texts and, therefore, sites of cultural construction, attempting to uncover the ways in which nationality, history, race/ethnicity, consumerism, and gender are immersed in these products. Our study underscores how the AG dolls and products render the world for its young consumers. This rendering is not innocent. Inclusions, exclusions, and hierarchies are naturalized, offering a particular view of race, gender, and the imagined community that is embedded in social practices and power relations that help determine our ways of seeing and imagining from a very young age.     

The Aesthetics of the Internet in St. Petersburg: Why Metaphor Matters

This article proposes that the metaphors with which people imagine the Internet are more central to its political constitution than might at first be supposed. Instead of focusing on discourses of whether the Internet is a progressive force, a capitalist or anticapitalist space, digital commons or artifact of controlled interests, this article shows that metaphors of social relations themselves frame the politicization of the Internet. The way social actors are conceptualized in turn informs the senses in which a technology could be considered an object of political constitution, and the senses in which policy is a relevant mode of social engagement. An ethnographic account of uses of the Internet in St. Petersburg, Russia is presented with a view to framing Western metaphors of sociality.
