This paper is a report on an introduction to the teaching model of college English course based on WebQuest, in which learners learn English in a process of using the World Wide Web to solve a problem. It’s one of the latest uses of technology gaining popular status in education. It is characterized as a computer-based, student-centered inquiry learning activity. The WebQuest has become prominent in many educational areas and has received considerable attention from teachers and educators. With the reform of CET-4, CET-6 examination, the proportion of listening part obviously has been increased, how to improve students’ listening ability and the teaching of college English listening is worth to be studied and developed in the practice. Nowadays,more and more foreign teachers have come to or been invited to China,joining in the English education cause,especially in colleges and universities.Using the methods of questionnaires and interviews,this paper conducts a survey of three foreign teachers and one hundred Chinese English majors at Qufu Normal University,aiming to explore their different perceptions and attitudes towards varied aspects of cross-cultural communication in native EFL classes.The quantitative and qualitative data obtained from the survey were both processed and analyzed from such categories as "teaching contents","teaching attitude","teaching methods","classroom interaction" and "cultural background".The findings suggested that intercultural communication plays a significant role in the process of English language teaching and learning at college native EFL classes.  相似文献

This article takes a relook at the 3rd person-s in English and is intended to prove that Chinese learners of English studying in L1 environment have great difficulty with the morpheme at intermediate level through frequency analysis of the errors made in four samples of two sophomores of a university majoring in English who were selected through convenience sampling. The author tries to investigate factors that explain why the morpheme is far behind in the morpheme acquisition order for the learners and provide implications and suggestions to college English teaching (including secondary education).  相似文献

In the present competitive society, English becomes more and more important, and how to master English becomes one popular topic for everyone. English is a communicative tool, however, traditional teaching method used in English teaching is not very suitable, and the traditional teaching is very boring and inefficient. The traditional teaching does not give students a real world situation to practice their English speaking and it does not cultivate their learning interests. This phenomenon continued in the students English learning for many years, and students can not use the English to communicate in their daily life. This phenomenon appears in oral English teaching in college schools as well, In order to solve the problems, the paper firstly describes the problem of English spoken teaching in college schools in Chi na. And then it analyzes the performance of problem and the cause of problems. The aim is that we find the problem and deficiency of Eng lish spoken teaching in college schools and use Role play as an effective way to solve these problems. Moreover, how to uses the role play specifically in the spoken English teaching, So that the role play can help teacher change traditional teaching method, enhance students’ oral communication ability, cultivate the students’learning interests and improve spoken English teaching in colleges.  相似文献
