泛在学习就是利用信息技术提供给任何学习者一个可以在任何地方、随时可以取得的科技工具来进行的学习活动,是泛在计算技术应用于教育领域后所产生的新的教与学模式,当前泛在学习方式正在逐渐成为可能,怎样使泛在学习方式在远程开放教育中得以应用,创造让学习者随时随地、利用任何终端进行学习的教育环境,从而实现更有效的教育。本文针对泛在学习的特征、方式及其在未来远程开放教育中的作用等进行了阐述,对泛在学习的前景进行了展望。

为满足学习者实现无缝学习的需求,本文在比较移动学习与泛在学习的基础上,认为具有境脉感知功能的泛在学习是满足学习者无处不在的个性化与适应性学习需求的最佳学习方式,并以建构主义学习理论、情境认知理论、活动理论和沉浸理论为指导,构建了泛在学习环境模型,提出了构成泛在学习环境的三要素,即泛在的学习资源、泛在的学习服务和泛在的支撑技术,并对各要素的具体组成部分如学习内容、学习活动、学习伙伴、学习交互、学习支持服务、境脉感知技术等进行了详细的分析.在此基础上,得出泛在学习环境具有无可比拟的优势,能够真正实现在合适的时间、合适的地点以合适的方式呈现给学习者合适的信息,从而保证学习者实现真正无缝的个性化学习.
