党的十八大提出,在中国特色社会主义伟大实践中要坚定制度自信,充分发挥中国特色社会主义制度的根本保障作用。坚定中国特色社会主义的制度自信,要做到让人民群众真正了解中国特色社会主义制度的构成,充分体会中国特色社会主义制度的优越性,从而增强对中国特色社会主义制度的认同感,这样才能使坚定中国特色社会主义制度自信有了基础、根本与源泉。     

‘My work is bleeding’: exploring students’ emotional responses to first-year assignment feedback

This paper explores the emotional responses that assignment feedback can provoke in first-year undergraduates. The literature on the link between emotions and learning is well established, but surprisingly research on the relationship between emotions and feedback is still relatively scarce. This article aims to make an additional contribution to this emerging field. Semi-structured interviews with 24 first-year undergraduate students from the Humanities and Social Sciences department in a post-1992 institution were conducted. The interview narratives identified how the emotional impact of feedback was related to: prior experiences of education, the significance participants attached to the feedback received on their first assignment and how their interpretations of feedback comments were linked to beliefs about themselves as learners. The implications of these experiences on student ‘belonging’ and learning are discussed. The underlying themes that emerged from the findings are the polarised emotions of anxiety and confidence. Based on the findings, the paper concludes by making recommendations for reconceptualising feedback on first-year assignments. It suggests that a holistic assessment approach, which incorporates timely feedback indicating if students are ‘on the right lines’ with low-stakes assignments, is a practice that may both reduce anxiety and increase confidence to support students.     

Girls Helping Girls: Assessing the Influence of College Student Mentors in an Afterschool Engineering Program

Current data suggest fewer females than males continue to be interested in engineering and that this gender gap is first evidenced during middle school years. One might expect that female engineering role models would encourage adolescent girls to pursue future careers in engineering and thereby increase the girls’ interests in and attitudes towards science and mathematics. This study sought to correlate middle school girls’ overall confidence in science and mathematics with a year-long, afterschool mentoring program led by female engineering students from a local university. The results demonstrated that there was a significant correlation between the quality of the mentoring relationship and the girls’ confidence in mathematics. The relationship between female role models and young girls’ attitudes toward science and mathematics is discussed.     

Confidence Intervals for a Semiparametric Approach to Modeling Nonlinear Relations among Latent Variables

Compared to parametric models, nonparametric and semiparametric approaches to modeling nonlinearity between latent variables have the advantage of recovering global relationships of unknown functional form. Bauer (2005) Bauer, D. J. 2005. A semiparametric approach to modeling nonlinear relations among latent variables. Structural Equation Modeling, 12: 513–535. [Taylor & Francis Online], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar] proposed an indirect application of finite mixtures of structural equation models where latent components are estimated in the service of more flexibly recovering characteristics of the latent aggregate regression function. This article develops and evaluates delta method and parametric bootstrap approaches for obtaining approximate confidence intervals for Bauer's semiparametric approach to modeling latent nonlinear functions. Coverage rates of these approximate point-wise confidence intervals or nonsimultaneous confidence bands are evaluated by Monte Carlo and recommendations for their use are suggested.     

文化自信视域下新疆武术文化发展研究*

以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想、党的十九大精神、党中央治疆方略为指引，从文化自信的角度出发，审视新疆武术文化缺乏文化自信的原因进行探究，研究认为文化差异与文化认同危机导致新疆武术文化缺乏文化共识，国民教育动力不足导致文化流失，传承缺失致使文化焦虑，新疆武术文化的发展应唤醒武术文化的“根”与“魂”，增强新疆武术文化凝聚力彰显文化自信，沿袭传承，加强保护，袭承明舍促使新疆武术从文化自信走向文化自强的路径。     

对外传播视域下大学生中国文化英语表达能力调查与提升策略研究

讲好中国故事、传播好中国文化是当代大学生肩负的重要使命,然而目前多数大学生在跨文化交流中还难以用英语表述中国文化。通过对河北省三市八所高校大学生的中国文化英语表达能力进行调查和测试,明确并分析大学生跨文化交际中传播中国文化的现存问题和原因,然后从文化自信的视角和学生主体出发,提出提升大学生对外文化传播能力的有效策略。     

过碳酸钠热分解动力学研究(Ⅱ)-最佳实验点的确定

采用置信域容积最小为目标的实验设计方法，对过碳酸钠分解动力学实验进行了统计设计，确定了最佳实验点的位置，研究结果表明，在过碳酸钠分解率0．1及0．85两个位置做实验，能够对过碳酸钠分解动力学模型中的两参数k和t0精确估值。     

关于编辑在中医药事业中价值作用的思考

中医药期刊编辑工作不仅体现在栏目设计、选题策划、论文评审选择、文稿加工修改等方面,作为学术研究者和学术传承人,在凝聚人才、汇聚成果和引领学术等方面,中医药编辑也发挥着不可替代的作用.本文对编辑在中医药事业中的价值作用进行思考,并从中医药传播、保护、传承和创新/发展4个方面进行阐释.认为中医药期刊编辑要充分利用学术期刊这一文化载体,推动中医药向世界传播和发展,弘扬中医药传统文化,提高民族自信,提升中国文化软实力.
