Understanding the Researcher Identity Development of Counselor Education and Supervision Doctoral Students

Counselor education and supervision (CES) doctoral students play an important role in contributing to knowledge in the counseling profession. CES doctoral students were interviewed to explore their researcher identity, a unique self‐concept that possibly includes research self‐efficacy and interest. Issues critical to facilitating researcher identity development included confidence, the researcher voice, faculty support, and opportunities for research.

1927年后,国民政府意识到思想传播的无形性与难控性,开始对出版业实行严密监控.艰难的出版环境使得当时带有革命倾向的文学期刊不得不转变编辑策略,通过审慎选择期刊内容、不断调整栏目设置、频繁更换刊物名称的方式求得生存与发展,以便在特殊的传播环境下对革命文学进行有效的传播.     

蒙古族学生学习汉语补语偏误分析及对策

蒙语属粘着语,而汉语属词根语,两者语言系统差异较大。蒙古族学生学习汉语之前早已熟练掌握了母语的语言规律,在学习汉语中不可避免地出现了各类偏误。本文着重分析了蒙古族学生学习汉语补语中常见的错序、遗漏、状语代替补语等偏误,并提出了相应的对策,使教学更有针对性。     

A mixed methods comparison of teachers' lunar modeling lesson implementation and student learning outcomes

The authors compare three teachers' adaptations and implementation of a lunar modeling lesson to explain marked differences in student learning outcomes on a spatial-scientific lunar assessment. They used a modified version of the Practices of Science Observation Protocol (P-SOP; Forbes, Biggers, &; Zangori, 2013 Forbes C., Biggers, M., &; Zangori, L. (2013). Investigating essential characteristics of scientific practices in elementary science learning environments: The practices of science observation protocol (P-SOP). School Science and Mathematics, 113, 180–190.[Crossref] , [Google Scholar]) to identify ways in which features of inquiry were emphasized in each classroom. Additionally, classroom communities of practice were categorized as task-based or practice-based (Riel &; Polin, 2004 Riel, M. &; Polin, L. (2004). The authors found that student learning outcomes were related to the fidelity with which the teachers implemented the lesson. Teachers with higher P-SOP scores fostered more of a practice-based learning community than task-based one, which also paralleled greater student learning gains. Although the students' scores did not differ by teacher on the preassessment, they did differ significantly on the postassessment, indicating that the curricular choices and learning communities developed by the teachers impacted what students were able to learn.     

Junior College Innovation and Teaching Improvement

Although interdisciplinary efforts in teaching and research are promoted as a possible antidote to increasing disciplinary separatism in colleges and universities, evaluations of interdisciplinary efforts in the classroom, particularly those spanning the traditional science-humanities divide, are not frequently documented. This article describes the development, execution, and assessment of a unique effort in interdisciplinary teaching in which four doctoral candidates from widely varying home disciplines collaborated to create and teach a “truly interdisciplinary” course for first-year students centered on the pervasiveness of humankind's quest for immortality. Assessment of the course indicates several desirable student outcomes, including the development of a more mature world view and appreciation for different epistemologies, which recommend the continuation of this and similar interdisciplinary efforts. While students at times found the enormous number of disciplines potentially related to the central topic overwhelming, at the conclusion of the course, they largely identified the exposure to new perspectives as an exciting and worthwhile academic experience. Similar interdisciplinary efforts in the classroom are encouraged, though ample course development time is recommended to maximize success.     

Programmatic Risk-Taking by American Opera Companies

This study explores the relationships between culture,politics, and the decision-making process of theAmerican opera company. It combines socio-economicdata with the financial and program data of key operacompanies to explore important influences inprogramming decisions. It tests the hypothesizedrelationships between risk-taking by opera companiesand socio-economic variables such as wealth,government funding, and donor involvement. This studyfinds that local government funding encourages programconventionality, while federal support such as the NEAencourages program risk-taking. Socio-economicvariables such as conservatism, wealth, and educationlevel were also found to affect opera programming.     

基于文献计量分析的破坏性创新研究述评

以中国知网文献总库(CNKI)为资料来源,检索1997年1月至2013年10月期间发表的有关破坏性创新的文章,利用文献计量、内容分析等方法分析了这些文献在发文时间、发文内容、发文期刊、发文作者、发文单位、研究资助基金、被引用次数等方面的情况,并结合文献内容对国内破坏性创新研究的主要特征及存在问题进行了述评,对今后该领域的研究做出展望。
