Appreciate Complex Color Structures of Dunhuang Fresco through the Evolution of Its Color Styles

Dunhuang Grottoes is one of the rarest treasure house of art painting in the world. The Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang frescoes formed its own complicated evolution during the development. One as pect is on the style of painting color usage, that is： different color styles reached its own peak because of different social fashions and in different times; The other aspect is on the second color effect which caused by self-oxidation of color due to the age-old and a number of man-made factors. The paper aims to appreciate the complex and varied color structures through the different color styles of the formation of Dunhuang frescoes.
