《山海经》地貌应属的年代

虽然《山海经》记载的地理状况与中国现代的地貌相差很远,但作者从地质学的角度去考虑,认为它并非错误的地理记录。按照经文里所提供的数据,把东海、西海和北海的相对位置计算出,并与远古各年代的亚洲地貌比较,发现此经所记载的状况,符合印支运动与燕山运动之间,尤其是晚侏罗世时的亚洲地貌。经文里的西海该是特提斯海,而北海应该是覆盖了从贝加尔湖至北冰洋整个地区的北方海。作者希望地理学家们能谨严看待这研究结果,并对《山海经》重新评估及作进一步的研究。

The Landscape Recorded in Shan Hai Jing

The author made a study of the landscape recorded in the ancient book of China,Shan Hai Jing,form the geological point of view.Based on the data given and the landscape described in the text,the relative positions of the ancient mountains and the four seas were found.These were compared with the physical conditions and landscape of Asia in remote antiquity.The result shows that,the landscape recorded in Shan Hai Jing is in accordance with the situation of Asia Continent between the Indochina Movement occurred at the beginning of Jurassic Period(205Ma)and Yanshan Movement at the end of Cretaceous Period(66Ma).This shows that,although it differs greatly from the present situation,the landscape and geographical data given in Shan Hai Jing are not false or written out of imagination.The author hopes that the geographers and the geologists would look into this proposal seriously and make further studies in Shan Hai Jing.
