《世说新语》不收陶渊明之原因再探析

关于《世说新语》何以不收陶渊明的原因，各家众说纷纭，莫衷一是，诸家观点有其合理成分，但也仍有可商榷之处。将讨论重点置于东晋的时代风尚与《世说新语》的甄选标准，认为陶渊明的农本思想、抱朴含真理念、拙于言辞的定位以及高士之隐的追求等方面，与《世说新语》中名士们所崇尚的贵族化风流、人工美、崇尚清谈和好“通隐”等相背离，这才是导致陶渊明事迹不见于《世说新语》的重要原因。

The Reasons Why His Works Were Excluded Outside the Shi Shuo Xin Yu

The reasons why Tao Yuan-ming＇ s works were excluded outside the Shi Shuo Xin Yu（ A New Account oi the Tales of the World） are disputable. This paper concludes that the reasons include the thought of agriculture, unsophisticated and real ethos of natural aesthetic standard, the massiness and characteristics, and the unique recluse without the utilitarian way in his works could not match the fashion trend of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the selection standard of the Shi Shuo Xin Yu which advo- cated the aristocratic tendency, artificial features, being skilled in the profound theories, and sophisticated and utilitarian communication.
