论董仲舒与王充人性论思想的内在趋同

人性问题是董仲舒与王充哲学思想的重要命题之一。二者从最原初的生存状态着眼对性做出概念阐释。在善恶来源方面,董仲舒以阴阳定善恶,提出性生于阳为善,情生于阴为恶;而王充以渥泊(厚薄)作区分,情性同生于阴阳之气,禀得渥者为善,禀得泊者为恶。董仲舒将人性分为圣人之性、斗筲之性和中民之性。王充同样明确将人性划分为上中下三等。他们认为,中人以上、以下之性不可改变,可以改变的只是中人之性。基于这一理论,二者主张通过教化(具体表现为学校教育)来改善人性,以期实现风尚淳朴、社会安宁的大治局面。
