党的十八大报告强调"积极发展继续教育,完善终身教育体系"。当前和今后一段时间,继续教育要顺应经济社会发展的大趋势,积极为创新型国家建设、经济发展方式转变和"人才强国"战略服务;继续教育要满足社会成员多样化的学习需求,整合教育资源,多渠道拓展继续教育形式,全方位提升继续教育水平。而广播电视大学是继续教育的有效载体,有理念开放、系统办学、网络技术、资源共享的独特优势,在学历教育和非学历继续教育中,要发挥广播电视大学系统的优势,努力使广播电视大学成为国家地方继续教育体系的龙头和重要支柱。

Problems in the Development of Continuing Education

The party＇s report at the 18th National Congress emphasizes ＂developing continuing education positively, and perfecting lifelong education system＂. In the current and the next period of time, continuing education should conform to the trend of economic and social development, and serve the innovative national construction, economic development mode transformation and the ＂Strengthening the Country through Talents＂ strategy actively. It also should meet social members＇ diverse learning needs, integrate education resources, expand forms of continuing education through multi channels, and improve education quality in an all-round way. Radio and TV University is the effective carrier of continuing education, showing unique strength in open ideas, system running, network technology, and resources sharing.
