杜威的实用主义教育哲学及其对我国成人教育的启示

摘    要:19世纪末20世纪初,以杜威为代表的实用主义思潮对美国的成人教育产生巨大影响。他将实用主义运用于教育领域从而产生的实用主义教育哲学观对成人教育运动具有推动作用。他提出的"教育即生长"、"教育即生活"、"教育是经验的不断改造或改组"、"儿童中心"的观点促使教育理论和实践的结合,通过阐述杜威实用主义教育哲学的基本主张,分析对我国成人教育的借鉴和启示。

Abstract:At the end of the 19th Century,adult education in the United States was deeply influenced by the utilitarianism inspired by John Dewey,who applied it to the field of education,resulting in utilitarian philosophy of adult education,and greatly promoting adult education movement.Educational theory and practice was thus made integrated,owing to his views like: To educate is to grow,or To educate is to live,or Education is experience continuously transformed or restructured,and Children's centralism.This paper describes Dewey's fundamental utilitarian educational principle,and summarizes its insights to our country's adult education.
