重提吐火罗——尉迟乙僧原籍考注

自公元9世纪以来,历史文献对伟大的初唐画家尉迟乙僧就存在两种不同的记录,主要矛盾体现在其籍贯问题上,一种记载说他来自吐火罗国,另一种记载说他来自于阗国。20世纪以来国内学术界普遍认同后者。本文通过梳理相关史料,提出了不同的看法。

Where Does Wei-ch’ih I-seng Come From:Re-mentioning Tukhara

Since 9th century,there were different records in ancient books when it comes to the great artist Wei-ch’ih I-seng.One of the main contradictions between these records is at his nationality,which would be necessarily discussed when researchers talk of the new painting styles brought into China by him.Some records shows that he came to the Tang empire from Tocharian,while the others told that he was from Khotan.Nowadays researchers commonly admit the second saying.But by studying these records and the relevant debate,this article proposal forwards another opinion.
