摘    要:中国当前的社会状况对大学本科教学所发生的就业导向,引发了当代大学的理念危机,通识教育问题遂成公众关注之焦点。两种不同涵义上的“通识教育”,使中国大学本科教学改革步入了十字路口。本文从树立大学理念的要求出发,反对对于通识教育概念的功利主义理解,主张大学通识教育的真实目标是为培养有高尚人格的创造性人才奠定独立思想和精神感悟的基础。

Abstract:The current social situation of China has exerted a "job-seeking orientation" on the undergraduate teaching of universities.It brings an idea-crisis to contemporary universities,and puts the general education into the highlight of the public attention.There are two different concepts of "general education",which has led the Chinese reformation of undergraduate teaching to a crossroads.From the standpoint of the university idea,this paper disputes the utilitarian concept of the general education and suggests that the general education should provide the basis for the students' growing up in their independent thinking and spiritual taste and intuition.And without the basis,the creative talents of moral integrity cannot be formed in universities.
