| Abstract: | This article, based on the analysis of the present situation of English teachers in colleges and universities, expound on the necessities of their training and cultivation. Social training and self- cultivation must be banded together. At one hand, emphasis must lay on the professional training for aeademie degrees;on the other hand, on - the - job training and cultivation must be emphasized to promote and further the life - long education and career development of English teachers. |
