| Abstract: | Mary Shelley is one of the most important writer of British Romantic Literature. Her representative work Frankenstein is a representative of Gothic fiction, supposedly the greatest horror novel of all time. This article discusses the female metaphor of the man-made monster in Frankenstein, and analyses Mary Shelley’s doubt and criticism against contemporary social norms by relating to her life. |
