夏代是杜撰的吗——与陈淳先生商榷

夏王朝是否存在，过去由于史证较少曾被一些学者所怀疑。随着考古发掘和研究工作不断取得进展，绝大多数国内学者对夏王朝的存在已不怀疑，然仍有部分外国学者出于种种原因，捡拾过去学者的论点而对夏的存在持否定态度。陈淳博士发表于《复旦学报》2004年第4期的《二里头、夏与中国早期国家研究》一文，采取转述国外学者有关批评的方法并基本站在他们的立场上，认为夏是“杜撰”的。此论很值得商榷：一、不能带着“周人杜撰夏朝历史”的先入为主的成见；二、甲骨卜辞中并非没有丝毫夏的踪迹；三、夏与商、周一样，同属于“早期国家”；四、不能否定二里头文化遗址对于研究夏朝历史及中国早期国家的意义。

Is the Xia Dynasty an intangible mirage? -A discussion with Mr. Chen Chun

The existence of the Xia Dynasty has been rarely disputed. And owing to the archeological progress and increasing explorations, evidences have been accumulated to convince Chinese scholars to be positive of the kingdom. For the reason unknown, however, certain overseas scholars keep on their suspicions due to the out dated foundations. Dr. Chen Chun's article entitled Erlitou, Xia Dynasty and the Study of Early States in China published on the Fudan Journal (No. 4, 2004) adopts the critical methods and suspicious viewpoints popular with the overseas scholars, and concludes that the Xia Dynasty is a kingdom that is coined. Therefore, the writer of this paper is obliged to argue that scholars should not be biased, turtle shells and bones serve as clues to the researches of the Xia, all the dynasties of Xia, Shang, and Zhou belong to the early states, and the unearthed relics from Erlitou site cannot be ignored in the significant study of the early states of China, including the Xia Dynasty.
