In recent years,university libraries have begun to focus on the development of characteristic resources database,national and local relevant departments also provide a number of special funding.It is often discussed in the process of building a database that how to design this kind of database and make it truly reflect academic and practical value.Taking"subject service"as the starting point,combining with the advantages of LIS professionals in library,university libraries should explicit the goal,concept,content,programs and value of building the featured database,forming digital resources system with obvious characteristics.
