On Socialist Key Value System and the Cultivation of College Students' Values

The concept of "to guide the social ideology by the core value system of socialism" was raised at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party,which is both the urgent demand of modern development and the common ideological basis for the united striving of all the nationalities of China in the new period.It has become one of the most important tasks of modern college ideological and political education whether college students,as the elite group of the society,can correctly grasp the mainstream ideology and establish solid core values of socialism while confronted with the multi-valued macro-background,which contributes to the success or failure of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics.
