| 摘 要： | 胡明复是我国近代科学发展史与科学教育史上一位举足轻重的人物。他早年留学美国,是中国科学社的创始人之一,为科学社的发展和《科学》杂志的编辑出版工作做出了重要贡献。他重视科学的社会功能,宣扬科学方法与科学精神,并且躬行实践,积极投身于科学教育。他为中国近代科学的发展,为中国近代科学教育的推行,做出了杰出的贡献。
