| 摘 要： | 西奥多·德莱塞的处女作《嘉丽妹妹》和第二部作品《珍妮姑娘》主题相似,但两者在当时遭受的境遇却大不相同。文章通过比较分析,认为：德莱塞在两部小说创作中发生的变化是其重要的原因之一,这种变化有其特定的原因,并可以说明德莱塞作品在思想性、艺术性和技巧性上都不断成熟。

| Abstract: | Sister Carrie and Jennie Gerhardt,which are Theodore Dreiser's maiden work and second work respectively,are similar in theme,but they were treated differently at that time.By comparison and analysis,the writer considers that Theodore Dreiserhimself was the main reason of the changes in the two novels.The changes had certain causes and all of these can also show Dreiser's writing was becoming mature in idea,art and skill. |
