There are several different salary dispute mechanisms in the four major sports leagues in the U.S. This paper tries to answer the following questions:what are the special salary dispute mechanisms in the four major sports leagues in the U.S? Why do the different sports leagues adopt different salary dispute mechanism; What are the actual operation effects of the different salary dispute mechanisms? It can be seen that the setting up of the special salary dispute mechanism is closely related to the mobility freedom of the player. The salary arbitration is the effective but nonessential right safeguards measurse for the player when the freedom of player's mobility is severely restricted, and the final offer arbitration is the better salary arbitration mechanism than the other salary arbitration.
