摘    要:本文回顾总结了嘉应大学自 1 983年以来组织学生开展社会调查、社会实践活动的情况 ,将1 8年来的大学生社会实践活动根据不同时期的特点划分四个阶段 :号召阶段、规范阶段、探索最佳形式阶段、总结提高阶段 ,并对各个阶段的特点作了分析。本文还阐述了开展社会实践活动对提高大学生的政治、思想、业务、文化、身心等方面的综合素质和能力的作用 ,指出新世纪大学生开展社会实践活动应处理好数量与质量等八种关系 ,才能使社会实践活动长期坚持下去并能不断拓展和深入。

Abstract:The history of developing social practice activities of students organized by Jiaying University has been eighteen years long. The activities have been given commendation on many occasions by the higher authorities for all the good promotion gained by helping the university students to get more understanding of the condition of our country,to learn more knowledge,to enhance their abilities,to contribute themselves to society,to establish their own correct outlooks on world,on life,on value of people's life. In this passage,the writer clarifies his views on how to improve the students' level of competence on political,ideological,cultural level and physically and mentally healthy by developing the social practice activities of the students base on the summary of the method of social practice activities in Jiaying University. The writer makes suggestions to how to deal with the eight relations in the issue of how to abhere to the social practice activities for a long period of term, meanwhile,keep developing it and making a thorough investigation and study on it in the twenty first new century.
