高职院校GE教师向ESP教师转换的发展策略

经济社会的发展要求,高职院校的英语教学必须走专业化之路,但目前高职院校专业英语教师师资的缺乏制约着专业英语（ESP）教学的顺利开展。要加强ESP教学,必须建立一支相对稳定的ESP教师队伍。本文分析了高职院校ESP教学的现状,并根据普通英语（GE）教师自身的优势,探讨了GE教师向ESP教师转换的发展策略。

On the Development Strategy of Transforming GE Teachers to ESP Teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges

The further deelopment of society and economy puts forward higher challenge to higher vocational education. English teaching in higher vocational college should be specialized, However,at present,the shortage of ESP（English for Speeial Purposes）teachers restricts the development of ESP teaching. Therefore, in order to reintorce ESP teaching,ESP teaching staff＇ should be set up. This paper analyzes the situation of ESP teaching in higher vocational colleges and. discusses the developing strategy of GE （General English）teachers transforming to ESP teachers according to the advantages of GE teachers.
