禅宗和日本语言

禅宗起源于中国，对日本文化影响较深。日本的语言中残留了禅宗的丝丝痕迹。日语的汉字读音体系、单词的汉字表记法等都受到了来自禅宗的潜移默化的影响。现代日语里，也仍然有相当数量的常用词来源于禅宗及其相关文化。

Zen is rooted in China and it has become one of the most influential foreign elements to the Japan culture.
