| Abstract: | This article focuses chiefly on analysis of pragma failures in cross - cultural communication. The author states the causes for pragma failures and the principles followed in cross - cultural communication. The author also advocates that teachers of English should improve the students＇ applied competence in their English teaching pratices, Meanwhile, teachers of English themselves should master some of pragmatic knowledge. |
