论"文化语言观"理念下的英语教学

摘    要:语言是文化大系统的子系统和载体。学习语言必须学习文化。当前我国英语教学深受“工具语言观”的影响,教学优先权总是放在语言的内部结构上,语言的文化特性被忽视,英语教学和文化相分离。英语教学必须以“文化语言观”为主线,将语言的文化特征直接融入教学过程,以培养学生在跨文化交流中的信息读破能力的核心,展开英语教学和等级考核,提高学生读破信息的能力。

Abstract:Language is not only a subsystem but a carrier of culture system. Language learning must go with culture learning. At present, teaching English in a Chinese setting is adversely affected by the instrumental linguistic approach which gives priority to learning the internal structure of language. As a result, cultural features are neglected, and language and culture are alienated. Thus English teaching must, with the application of cultural linguistic approach, comprise the teaching of cultural components of English language so as to train students' ability of information interpretation in cross culture communication.
