| Abstract: | Chinese intellectuals encountered many cultural contradiction and spiritual confusion in the 20th century. First, they vacillated between traditional and western cultures. Second, it was difficult for them to make a choice between extinction and generalization. Finally, they suffered a lot between politics and studies. |
