Reading and Reading Instruction:A Psychological Perspective

Reading is a complex cognitive process,involving integrating,organizing,elaborating and monitoring.Reading instruction should teach the students to regulate and control those cognitive processes,and should not confine to the comprehension of the text.The distinction between reading and reading instruction is very important for clarifying the objective of reading instruction.
