Abstract: | This article serves as an introduction to the Telesoftware and Education Project being run at Brighton Polytechnic. It describes the recent history of telesoftware as an idea, and its development as a combination of television and microcomputer engineering. The article then moves to the research project itself, outlining the project's organization, intentions and educational aspects. The author provides examples of how telesoftware may be of use in classrooms and speculates on the potential of the telesoftware idea. Finally, the article mentions some present difficulties for micro‐electronics in education and the move towards a more coordinated approach. |
