《大公报》与反美续订华工禁约运动

在晚清那样一个近代社会开始形成的过渡时期,新闻媒体的勃兴为社会大众对公权领域的"知情"提供了通道。而媒体通过议程设置引导社会舆论,提高其社会监督的效能。文中以1905年反美续订华工禁约运动为个案,研究当时报界最有影响力之一的报纸《大公报》对于这一事件的反应,以及该报的一系列报道所反应的社会现实及价值。

Da Gong Bao and Anti-American Movement on Renewing Treaty of Banning Use Chinese Laborers Abroad

Late Qing dynasty came into being as a transition society, in which the modern society began to form. The development of news media provided a channel for people to know the filed of public authority. And the media also could guide the public opinion through agenda-setting, to improve its efficiency of the social supervision. This article is based on the movement of the Chinese against American renewing the treaty which banning use Chinese workers in the year of 1905, to research the reaction of Da Gong Bao, one of the most influential newspapers at that time, and the value of the reports.
