新民学会对当代青年的启示

新民学会是毛泽东等人在五四时期创建的青年进步社团。它给当代青年留下的精神财富就是：锐意革新，勿蹈常故，探索真理，主义求真，注重实践，克己修身。同时，它也启示当代青年要树立以天下为己任的意识，增强报效国家民族的使命感与责任感；增强改革开放意识，立足本国，放眼世界；发扬艰苦奋斗，勇于探索的精神；养成少说空话，多做实事的良好作风。

The Enlightenment of Xinmin Society to the Contemporary Youths

Xinmin Society was an influential,progressive league of youths,which was established by Mao Zedong and other men in the period of May 4~(th) Movement.It had passed on the contemporary youths a plenty of spiritual wealth as following: innovating with keen determination in the new environment;not following the beaten track,exploring in the knowledge;sticking to the doctrine of seeking the truth;emphasizing the practices;restraining oneself and cultivating one's moral character.Its important enlightenment to the contemporary young men are:bearing in mind the consciousness of serving the country as one's own duties;raising the consciousness of the mission and responsibility of contributing to the country;reinforcing the consciousness of reform and opening-up on ground of the country but with an eye to the world;developing the spirit of working hard and exploring fearlessly;Forming a good habit of doing more practical things with less empty talk.
