| Abstract: | A view of the traces of the evolution of historical and biographic literature during the reigns of the Kingdom of Wei, the Jin Dyna sy and the Northern and Southern Dynasties reveals the following tendencies of a lteration: 1) The range of characters gradually shrank; 2) Narration overshadowed characterization; 3) The former representation of strong sentiment gave way to the later expressio n of simple feelings; 4) The language tended to have more and more regard for the art of parallelism. |
