The Development of the System of Adult Education in American Community Colleges Since 1990s

As the comprehensive mass education institution which was originally created in U.S.A,the community college gradually develops to be the core organization for community adult education.Adult education is a kind of new educational system evolving from the tradition school education into lifelong education.It plays the vital role to improve national quality,the promotion of economic and the social development.In view of this,after describing the background and history of the adult education system in American community colleges since 1990s,the paper introduces its form,specialty,curriculum,teaching method as well as the teacher employment system,and wish it can gives some useful enlightenments to our adult education.
