Farewell poems in ancient China have a long history of the development, the earliest record can be traced back to The Book of Songs. The ways of farewell in poems of The Book of Songs are various and wonderful. This paper aims at the discussion on the ways of departing and the emotions in the farewell of The Book of Songs so that a further appreciation and analysis can be made for the themes and emotions of such poems.
