唐五代宫廷诗僧群体诗风的流变

中唐以前。宫廷诗僧群体的主体是以玄奘为代表的高僧型诗僧，他们与帝王相互借重，诗文酬唱成了他们宣讲佛理的方便法门。他们的诗歌创作或追求“奇挺”、“藻锐”，或倡导通俗化，或凸显生命意识，对唐诗产生了重要的影响。至中后期，随着佛教地位的下降和诗僧群体整体素质的下降，宫廷诗僧多以诗、书、画等外学立足。他们多痴迷诗艺，注重苦吟，使唐末五代成为贾岛式的“苦吟时代”。
