| 摘 要： | 郑藻如是清廷派驻美国等国的第二任公使。任职期间，他为维护在美华侨的合法权益进行了顽强的斗争，如关于1882年美国排华法案的交涉、关于洛士丙冷案的交涉、提议自禁华工赴关等。郑藻如华工交涉的事迹对华侨史及中美关系史研究具有重要的史料价值。

| Abstract: | Zheng Zao--ru was the second envoy of the Qing Dynasty to the United States, Spain and Peru. He made strenuous efforts to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese laborers in the United States. His activities in the US are of important value to the study of the history of overseas Chinese and Sino--US relationship. |
