Private Attribute of Intellectual Property and Official Attribute of Olympic Symbol: A Conflict and Its Solution

Intellectual property is essentially private fights. The paper firstly examines the private attribute of intellectual property, and then explores its exception as private rights such as Olympic synmbol particularity and designs solutions from legal perspective. Olympic symbol is certain official attribute, which is the request of Olympic Charter to protect the Olympic symbol. In the face of conflict between private attribute of intellectual property and official attribute of Olympic symbol, the paper proposes that it should strengthen the legal protection for the Olympic symbol through the protection model of official symbol. Official symbol protection is one special kind of intelleetual property protection and China should more improve the legal system.
