汉代今古文经学争论概述

汉武帝以后儒家思想被确立为中国古代官方学说。当时由于古文版儒家经典的出现,有些儒者开始对今文经典以及今文经学家的治经方式产生质疑,今、古文经学家的争论由此而始。西汉末年,今古文经学家争论的焦点在于是否给予《左氏传》官学地位。这一阶段的论战虽然以古文经学的失败而告终,但《左氏传》的地位得以提高。东汉初期,光武帝设立《左氏传》博士,《左氏传》的地位得到官方承认。东汉中后期,古文经学家郑玄遍注群经,取得了这场论战的胜利。

A Sketch on the Disputation between the Ancient Classics School and the Current Classics School

Confucianism is regarded as the official doctrine after the period of Emperor Hanwu. It＇s the beginning of the disputation between the Ancient Classics School and the Current Classics School that some Confueians started to query the current classics and the method of dealing with them because of the emergence of ancient classics. At the end of Western Han Dynasty, the central issue of the disputation is whether the government should give Zuozhuan official recognition or not. At this stage, although the Ancient Classics School was failed, the position of Zuozhuan is promoted. At the beginning of Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Guangwu set up the Doctor of Zuozhuan, which means Zuozhuan get the approval of the government. At the end of Eastern Han Dynasty, the Ancient Classics School scholar, Zheng Xuan, achieve the success of the disputation.
