Research on Teachers' Behaviors: One Key Field of Curriculum and Instruction Theories

In the 20th century, curriculum and instruction theories(CIT) developed greatly. At the same time, it revealed the tendency of lack in practical characteristics. The shortcoming, which embodied a historical stage of CIT, provided some space for its further development. In recent years, integrative study between curriculum theories and instruction theories has been taken more and more attention, which provides a new way for enhancing practical characteristics of CIT and a new theoretical support for the research on teachers' behaviors(TB). The research on TB, which is an authentically practical research, becomes an important approach to integrate CIT. It pioneers a new research direction for the development of CIT.
