东江文化与东江革命根据地的历史传统

东江地区的地理位置和山川地势、客家人的文化特征、趋于破产社会经济及反抗压迫的传统，是东江革命根据地得以创建的地理和文化基础，也是中共革命在东江地区得以长期坚持和发展重要条件。同时，东江革命根据地发展过程中所体现出来的兼容精神、开拓创新精神、革命乐观主义精神和勇于牺牲的爱国精神，又在很大程度上丰富和发展了东江文化。
