Constructing a Parallel Chinese-English bilingual Corpus for Anhui Publicity

On the basis of reviewing the traditional approaches to Translation Studies concerning publicity materials,the paper proposes that the application of the research findings of corpus-based translation studies in the practice of translating publicity materials,to be more specific,to construct an online Parallel Corpus of Anhui Publicity Materials,is an effective way of improving the translation quality of Anhui provincial publicity materials.Since corpora can be updated easily,it is more useful and powerful than the publication of a handbook of parallel texts of Anhui provincial publicity materials.
