| Abstract: | Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism co-existed in the vernacular novels of the Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties. These novels drew the ideas of Confucianism into Buddhism and advocated loyalty and filial piety to achieve the aim of constructing a psychological foundation,and for the Chinese people to accept the Buddhism culture with the help of the Chinese traditional ethics. |
