Study of the Novel of "Poems on Red Leaf" in the Tang & Five Dyn asties

The novels written by "Poems on Red Leaf" in the Tan g & Five Dynasties have long enjoyed popularity since their emergence. This paper, based on the interpretation of relevant texts and their cultural connotations, analyses the f actors that made this kind of novel a unique cultural phenomenon since the Tang Dynasty, i.e . the aesthetic characteristics of the red lead image, the mentality of Tang scholars and the lenient social conditions of the time, and aims at revealing the tragedies of th e palace maids in the Tang and Five Dynasties as well as the style and features and trend of the time.
