| 摘 要： | 高级英语课是英语专业高年级的一门主干课程,其目的是为了帮助学生的英语水平有一个质的飞跃,而词汇在该课程的教学中起着举足轻重的作用。运用认知语言学的新成果—─隐喻概念,探讨了隐喻与思维、隐喻与词汇的关系以及高级英语课中隐喻词汇的认知意义,这对于指导学生准确地理解并使用英语词汇,从而促使其隐喻能力的形成无疑具有积极的指导意义。

| Abstract: | Advanced English Course,whose purpose is to help students have a qualitative leap in English,is one of the main courses of senior English majors.And vocabulary plays a decisive role in the teaching of the course.In the light of metaphorical concept,one of the new achievements of cognitive linguistics,the paper first explores the relationship between metaphor and thought,then between metaphor and vocabulary.Finally,it discusses the cognitive meaning of metaphorical words in Advanced English Course,which will,to some extent,guide students to understand and use English vocabulary squarely thus helping their cultivation of metaphorical competence. |
