实现数字图书馆互操作的一个主要目的就是跨越异构、分布式数字图书馆的馆藏发现有用的信息 ,并向用户提供统一、透明的服务。本文首先介绍元搜索引擎的概念、结构模型及工作原理 ,在此基础上 ,提出一种基于元搜索引擎的数字图书馆互操作框架 ,并给出了基于该框架实现的一个原型系统。与相关研究工作相比 ,该方案对参与互操作的数字图书馆没有任何约束 ,具有较好的可扩充性

A Meta-Search Engine Based Solution for Digital Libraries Interoperability

One of the main goals for digital libraries interoperability is to search useful information across distributed and heterogeneous collections of digital libraries, and to provide uniform and transparent services for users. We firstly introduce the concept of meta search engine and its architecture and principle. On this basis, a meta search engine based framework for digital libraries interoperability is proposed, and the implementation of prototype system based on the framework is described. Compared with related work, the solution has no constraints on digital libraries participating in interoperability and has a better expandability.
