儒家价值观的现代意义

与西文基督教伦理根源于对“上帝”的绝对信仰不同,儒家价值观的根基在于与天道合一的人之“仁心本性”,而由此开出的仁、义、礼、智、诚(信)儒家“五常”,是为儒家伦理美德的恒常原则,最终又落实到具体应用的礼制规范层面.从“心性”基础层和“五常”中间层来看,儒家伦理具有普世伦理的意义；而从最外表的礼制规范层面来说,儒家伦理须因时制宜,因革损益,以适应时代与社会的变迁与需求.儒家价值观,对解决伴随科技与知识突飞猛进而日益凸显的价值失落、道德失范问题势必有所帮助,对现代人们的人伦日用仍不失指导意义.

The Modern Significance of Confucian Theory of Value

Being different from the ethics of Christian religion which originated from the ultimate belief on God,the foundation of Confucian ethics is Ren,the humanity intrinsically,unified with Dao of Tian.It leads to benevolence,righteousness,propriety,wisdom,and fidelity as Confucian five constant virtues which are the eternal principles of Confucian ethical virtues,and would at last be actualized in practical social institutions.From the point of humanity as the foundational aspect and the five constant virtues as the middle,Confucian ethics is of general meaning.However,from the point of practical social institutions as the most outer,Confucian ethics needs to be changed with the development of the society.Confucian theory of value would be helpful to solve some problems such as the loss of value and moral with the rapid progress of science and technology.And meanwhile,it would be necessary for people to life under the direction of it.
