The Outline of the Study on the Yuan Poetry in the 20th Century

The Yuan poetry isn't a topic of general interest in studying the Yuan Dynasty literature. But in the 20th century, especially recent years, quite a lot of achievements have been gained in the Yuan poetry study, and its value and characteristics are increasingly recognized, its position in the history of Chinese poetry is gradually affirmed. To provide reference to the future study, we can review the evaluation given by the scholars in the 20th century and its changes, the understanding of the main features and the discussion about the development and the chronological periods, and the analysis why the study was once unpopular from the angle of social politics and literary academic development.
