论社会主义市场经济条件下的效率与公平

效率和公平作为人类社会不懈追求的两大目标，二者本应是辩证统一的关系。然而在现实社会中，效率和公平的关系却很紧张。在我国社会主义市场经济条件下，虽然具备了实现效率和公平辩证统一的优势，但是在社会主义市场经济发展现实中到底该如何处理二者关系，还是一个难题。实行社会主义市场经济以来，我们一直坚持“效率优先，兼顾公平”，目前我国社会出现了比较严重的公平问题，这要求我们从“效率优先，兼顾公平”转向“效率和公平并重”。对当前而言，维护社会公平是当务之急。

On efficiency and fairness under the socialist market economy

As the two greatest targets that mankind are unremlttingly pursuing, efficiency and equality should be under the dialectic and unified relation. But in realistic society, the relation between the two is very tense. Under the condition of our socialist market economy, we have the advantage of unifying efficiency and equality. But in reality, how to handle the relation between these two is still a hard nut to crack. Since the adoption of socialist market economy, we have been advocating the principle ＂Efficency Preferred and Equality Concurred.＂ At present, some problems of unequality have aroused in our society. This demands we change the principle into ＂laying equal stress on fairness and efficiency＂. As a result, it is urging to maintain equality in present China.
