| 摘 要： | 如何依赖计算机网络技术的高速发展，构造灵活方便的数据库应用平台，促进高效率信息运转，分布式数据库系统被广泛关注．当前的分布式数据库管理系统是基于局域网(LAN)的体系结构，系统在网络灵活性方面有局限，文章提出了基于广域网(WAN)的分布式数据库系统的结构和特征，并指出了系统研究和应用方面的观点。

| Abstract: | Distributed database system has gained great attention because of the development in web and people's need for greater flexibility and easy access to information. The present distributed database application system is based on Clint/Server function architecture, and consequently, independent visit to database system has its limitation. This paper advances the architecture and characteristics of distributed database system based on WAN and points out ways in its research and application. |
